Details: The Schilling holly, also known as dwarf yaupon holly, is a favorite among gardeners for a small hedge, border plant or foundation plant due to the rounded shape It maintains, giving off the impression of being professionally shaped without any formal cutting. This shrub isn't picky about soil type & will thrive in both dry & wet conditions equally well. Salt tolerant & drought tolerant once established, the Schilling often forms into a thick, low-maintenance & uniformly green ground cover. The Schilling holly prefers full to partial sun & produces medium to dark green leaves with a small oval shape & the branches are coated with silvery, gray bark. Small white flowers appear in spring, but are somewhat inconspicuous.
